become a young member
Scouting is all about having fun, making friends and learning new skills. We have around 100 young people in our Group doing just that. Want to join them?
It couldn’t be easier becoming a young member of St. Luke’s Maidstone Scouts but first you need to work whether you can become a Beaver, Cub or Scout. Take a look at what we have here and decide which is for you:
Want to join Beavers?
Beavers are girls and boys aged 6 to 8 years old who form a Colony. Our Beaver Colony meets every Tuesday at the Scout HQ. [Find out more]
May be you’re old enough for Cubs?
Cubs are girls and boys aged 8 to 10½ years old who form a Pack. There are two Packs to choose from. One meets on a Wednesday evening and the other on a Thursday evening. [Find out more]
Want to take on the challenge of Scouts?
Scouts are girls and boys aged 10½ to 14 years old who form a Troop. There are two Troops at St Luke’s which meet either on a Monday or Friday evening. [Find out more]
I’m really interested, what do I next?
All we you need to do is get a parent/ guardian to fill our “Sign me up” form
Can I see what it’s like before I join?
Of course! Contact us and we can arrange for both parents and young people to come and visit, and see for yourselves what Scouting is like.
We may be able to offer a place straight away, however please note that all places are subject to availability and you may have spend a little while on a waiting list before being invited to join.
